Good News in the Battle against the Woolly Adelgid!

Finally there is good news in the battle against the Woolly Adelgid that is destroying our hemlocks. A new non-profit organization called “Save Georgia’s Hemlocks” is educating homeowners in north Georgia about new treatments that can save hemlocks even after they have been infested. And the treatment is very low cost, often less than $0.30 per inch of tree diameter.

Donna Shearer of “Save Georgia’s Hemlocks” has advised us of a one hour informational session they will conduct this Saturday, July 11th at the UGA Extension office in Clayton at 10:00AM. Seating will be limited.
